The TXT Record

• The TXT Record is used to hold miscellaneous information about a host.

  • TXT records should have only one data field.
  • Enclose the data field in double quotes.
  • The data field should not span across lines.

• It may take more than one TXT record to hold all the info you want. This is perfectly acceptable.
